Intro and blog name

So I'm your typical child-free atheist trans woman just starting her transition, and this blog is a place for me to put all my rambling thoughts about gender, sex, and politics. The other options were to either subject my friends to my rants, or spend even more time talking to the cat.

The blog name comes from a Love Outside Andromeda song, Try to be a girl. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBtXCfXeyt0

The song is about trading love for security, but I like the section; "hear her talk inside of my head, it's all her fault inside of my head". To me, that is very much how it feels being trans. Of course the Try to be a girl bits are appropriate too.
